What is the Lymphatic System and why is it important?

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels, nodes, and organs in our body that helps remove waste, toxins, and other harmful substances. It works alongside our circulatory system and immune system. Think of the lymphatic system as a garbage disposal system for our body…it collects waste materials, excess fluids, and unwanted substances from our tissues and carries them away. It's like a drainage system that keeps our body clean and healthy.

The lymphatic system consists of lymph, a clear fluid that flows through its vessels. This fluid contains immune cells that help fight infections and diseases. Lymph nodes, which act as filters, are located along the lymphatic vessels and help trap and destroy harmful substances, such as bacteria and viruses.

One of the vital roles of the lymphatic system is to maintain the balance of fluids in our body. It collects excess fluid that leaks from our blood vessels and returns it back to the bloodstream. This prevents swelling and maintains the proper functioning of our tissues.

The lymphatic system also plays a crucial role in our immune response. It helps transport immune cells and antibodies to areas of infection or injury, aiding in the fight against harmful pathogens.

The lymphatic system is an important part of our body's defense and waste removal system. It keeps our tissues clean, helps fight infections, and maintains the balance of fluids in our body.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The Ballancer®Pro massage suit is made to massage all areas of the body, with a special focus on the areas with lots of lymph nodes and body parts that tend to retain fluid. It is also the perfect complement to anyone who has had any kind of fat-loss or detox treatment, as a lymphatic massage helps expedite the results by flushing out the lymphatic system from any fluids or toxins that are trying to be discharged.

The massage also treats people who are recovering from an injury and can’t exercise how they normally would like to. The massage is also good to treat people who have engaged in strenuous physical activity and are looking for a way to shorten their recovery time.

  • Lay down and relax while the Ballancer®Pro’s 24 chambers stimulate - with a light to moderate pressure mimicking human hand touch - your lymphatic system to flush out toxins and fluids. The massage is so relaxing that many people will take a nap during a treatment session.

  • Each session is a total of 60 minutes - 40 minutes in the pants and 20 minutes in the jacket.

  • If possible, please wear comfortable clothing. It is recommended to drink lots of water and attend your session on a near-empty stomach. Bring any personal item you may want use during your session - music (with headphones), book, magazine, etc.

  • Results can be felt and seen immediately after the first session. Positive results are usually reported during and after a series of 12 sessions over the course of 3-4 weeks.

  • The Ballancer®Pro is intended for anyone looking to support detoxification, enhance circulation, boost immunity, accelerate recovery, bolster metabolism, improve body contouring, and smooth & tone the skin. You should not receive a lymphatic drainage massage if you:

    - Have active cancer that is being treated by chemotherapy or radiation
    - Have heart or vascular problems
    - Have a condition that requires the use of any medical device
    - Have been diagnosed with blood clots, deep vein thrombosis or phlebitis

    - Are (or may be) pregnant

  • Lymphatic compression therapy is not as simple as filling up leg and upper body suits with air using strong compression. In fact, it requires the exact opposite. Most devices are not mimicking the gentle, rhythmic motion of our lymphatic system nor do they cover the target areas fully. There is a science involved which requires knowledge of lymphatic movement, target areas, pressure and treatment time. The Ballancer®Pro is the only device on the market with both an FDA clearance and clinical studies. Each Ballancer®Pro garment contains up to 24 individual air chambers that overlap to apply fluent compression and release strokes that target each centimeter of the treated area. This massage motion, with its special direction of flow, increases circulation and gently, but thoroughly decongests the problem areas of hips, thighs, buttocks and upper arms. It is the only control unit to offer exact treatment times and a precisely calibrated choice of pressure and gradient treatment modes to meet a wide variety of clinical, aesthetic and athletic recovery needs.
