Some of my favorite oils and uses. 

What Are Essential Oils? How Do I Use Them?

An essential oil is a liquid that is generally distilled from the leaves, stems, flowers, bark, roots, or other elements of a plant. Essential oils contain the true essence of the plant it was derived from. Essential oils are highly concentrated and a little goes a long way and can be used for many purposes: to boost immunity, mood, digestion, to use for body care and natural beauty products and more. 

Lemon: Helps cleanse the body with its anti-microbial properties and promotes detoxification through the blood and liver.

How to use lemon: Put 1 to 2 drops of lemon essential oil in a glass of water and drink on an empty stomach daily. For an added detox effect, drink 1 cup of hot water with 1-2 drops of lemon essential oil and 1tbs. of organic apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach.                                                                                                              


Lavender: Helps with stress, wounds or burns, and blood pressure. Is used to prevent various infections and combat bacterial and fungal disorders.

How to use lavender: For burn relief and to heal cuts, scrapes or wounds, mix 3–5 drops of lavender oil with ½ teaspoon of coconut oil and apply the mixture to the area of concern. 


Frankincense: Known as a very spiritual oil - great for meditation. Helps fight infections, decreases inflammation and support anti-aging. Can be used to help reduce acne blemishes, the appearance of large pores, prevent wrinkles, and it even helps lift and tighten skin naturally. 

How to use Frankincense: Mix six drops of oil to one ounce of unscented oil and apply it directly to the skin. 


Lemongrass: Helps with purification and supports digestion. 

How to use Lemongrass: Take internally following a meal to support digestion. Can be used to enhance the flavor of food and beverages. 


Peppermint: Supports healthy digestion and promote healthy intestinal function. 

How to use Peppermint: Add to herbal tea or water to support digestion and enhance flavor. 


Stress Away: Can improve relaxation and nervous tension.

How to use Stress Away: Add to water or diffuser after exercise or throughout the day when life is demanding. 


Purification: Purifies and neutralizes bad odors. Helps to moisturize dry skin. 

How to use Purification: Massage to dry skin. Combine with water in a spray bottle to eliminate unpleasant smells or odors. 


DiGize: Helps improve digestion and offers increased relaxation. 

How to use DiGize: Drink in morning or at night to support digestive system. 


Oregano: Helps purify the body and enhance the tastes of food. Oregano is an antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, and immune stimulant. 

How to use Oregano: Dilute oregano and take before bed to kill off any of the “bad bugs”. 


Thieves: Can help maintain a healthy respiratory system and support the immune system. 

How to use Thieves: Add Thieves to a spray bottle to cleanse surfaces or add to a diffuser to clean the air. 


Rosemary: Helps improve hair, skin and nails. Supports liver, immune system, high blood pressure, and enhances mental clarity/concentration. 

How to use Rosemary: Diffuse to support mental clarity and focus. Take internally to support immune health. 


Cedarwood: Assists with acne, arthritis, dandruff, dermatitis, promotes hair growth and is a calmative. 

How to use Cedarwood: Apply directly to skin or diffuse to support pineal gland and limbic region of the brain.
